Who we are
Ulwimbo is an African music platform operated by iGoola Solutions. We are building a service around lyrics, song information, artist details, credits, language, and cultural context. This policy applies to the Ulwimbo website, our account system, our contact and report flows, and our lyrics submission features.
Information we collect
We collect information in a few different ways depending on how you use Ulwimbo.
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your public username, email address, password, and related account security details. If you later update your account, we may also store your first name and last name. If you choose Google sign-in, we may also receive basic Google account information needed to authenticate you, such as your email address and Google account identifier.
- Contact, report, and support information. When you use our contact form or report surface, we collect the information you provide, including your name, email address, subject, message, and the page you were reporting from when relevant.
- Lyrics submission information. If you submit lyrics or corrections, we collect the information you include in that submission, such as song title, artist name, featured artists, project title, lyrics, notes, reference links, song links, optional artwork, and optional review audio.
- Community and profile information. If you use account or community features, we may store profile details, approved comments, trust or verification status, and related activity needed to run the service.
- Technical and usage information. Like most websites, we collect technical information such as browser and device details, request information, and security-related signals.
- Search and on-site analytics information. Ulwimbo stores recent search activity, search result interactions, selected search types, and related analytics so we can improve discovery. For signed-out visitors this may include a session identifier cookie and a hashed IP value for analytics and abuse prevention.

We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including operating the platform, reviewing submissions, preventing abuse, meeting legal obligations, and resolving disputes.
- Account information is generally kept while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward if needed for security, legal, or platform integrity reasons.
- Contact messages, reports, and lyrics submissions may be kept as part of our editorial, support, and platform records.
- Search analytics logs are pruned periodically, and current search log retention is designed around a 90-day window.

- You can update certain account details from your account area.
- You can contact us if you need help with a privacy question, a correction, or an account-related request.
- You can control cookies in your browser.
- If you believe information on Ulwimbo should be corrected or removed, contact us and we will review the request.
